Guidelines
Advice for new and existing choir members
We are a non-auditioning chamber choir based in Chiswick, London, W4, and we like to keep our membership to around 60.
We sing a wide range of choral music both sacred and secular and have built up a good reputation in the community for quality concerts and a friendly atmosphere.
Joining
Do please come along to one of our rehearsals and if you'd like to join us, all we ask is you sing a few notes to our Musical Director so we can be sure you're comfortably singing in the right part, and your voice quality is likely to blend.
Subscriptions
We do have an affordable subscription, which you'll need only to pay (termly or yearly) once you decide to sing with us.
It would be best to join at the beginning of any term, unless when joining later you can prove to our Musical Director that you know the music for the concert.
Rehearsals
St Michael and All Angels church is the usual rehearsal venue.
Bath Road, Chiswick, W4 1LW.
Our friendly choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
We would ask you to commit to
7 of the 10 rehearsals prior to our three major concerts each term.
If due to unforseen circumstances you can't make this, we ask you to discuss this with our Musical Director.
Prior experience
Although choral experience is helpful, there are no auditions; the important thing is to enjoy making music with others and attend the rehearsals!
We are offering 50% discount for the first term for new tenors and basses and if you are under 25 then it is only £10 per term.
